Welcome to Green Fins Thailand
Since being founded in 2004, we have been dedicated to protecting the reef's of Thailand through raising awareness and teaching Reef Watch methods for ongoing monitoring. In support of the International Year of the Reef (IYOR) 2008 we are pushing for a direct involvement of all communities within Thailand to adopt responsibility and commit to looking after the reefs and reduce our daily impacts on the marine environment. Please join us in celebrating IYOR 2008 by getting involved in any activities related to the 3 Green Fins themes of the year:

กรมทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่ง สมาคมกรีนฟินส์ ร่วมกับ สยามโอเชี่ยนเวิลด์ ขอเชิญนักเรียน นิสิต นักศึกษา ประชาชนทั่วไป ผู้ที่สนใจร่วมส่งผลงานประกวดผลิตสื่อประชาสัมพันธ์ เพื่อรณรงค์ ให้ความรู้ความเข้าใจแก่สาธารณะชน ถึงความสัมพันธ์ของระบบนิเวศน์ทางทะเลกับการท่องเที่ยว ปรับเปลี่ยนพฤติกรรมการใช้ถุงพลาสติกของนักท่องเที่ยว เพื่อลดผลกระทบจากการท่องเที่ยวต่อทรัพยากรทางทะเล ในหัวข้อ "ทะเลสวยใส ไร้พลาสติก"

50 staffs from Thomson Reuters participated in Green Fins 2nd International Coastal Clean Up Koh Lanta on 13-14 September 2008. Within 5 hours, over 4 tons of garbage were collected along 4 beaches (Klong Dao Beach, Phra Ae Beach, Klong Nin Beach, and Klong Hin Beach) in Koh Lanta.
